We are only allowed to have 15 students on a team so between our two teams we are limited to 30 students.

At present there are about 10 open slots. Any 6th, 7th or 8th grade student at Reuther interested in trying out for the team should complete the student application below ASAP. We will be evaluating applications and down selecting to 30 students over the next few weeks. Attendance at our weekly meetings is one of the prerequsit for inclusion on our teams.

We meet every Monday and Wednesday from 6 pm to 9 pm on those days school is in session. Students are also expected to put in extra hours each week researching various areas that are key for a succesful robotics season. There will be weekend competitions that all team members are expected to support.

Each student must complete their own student application form in order to be considered. The student application needs to be completed by the student and will be evaluated for its completeness and clarity.

Parents that are willing to be Mentors earn extra points for their student. Yes, it is a form of bribery, but we can't have successful teams without a lot of parent-mentor help. Parents willing to become Mentors must complete their application in parallel with their student's. Please keep in mind that parents who volunteer to become Mentors will be required to register with FIRST, and most importantly assist with our weekly team meetings.

Since our graduating team members are destined for RHS, the FEDS are investing in the future of Reuther Students as well as the FEDS.
